Charles Lacy has practiced clinical pharmacy and taught at numerous universities over the past 42 years. He has specialized in numerous areas over the years, including psychiatric and neurologic pharmacy. Following a fellowship in oncology practice and research, Dr. Lacy joined Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in oncology and later went on to build the specialities of pharmacy in critical care medicine and after an additional residency at LBMMC, he developed the Drug Information & Poison Control center at Cedars-Sinai. He is the lead author of the renowned 鈥淒rug Information Handbook鈥 and lead editor of the Lexi-Comp Clinical Reference Library. Dr. Lacy is a recognized leader in Pharmacy- he has worked with numerous Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committees at the state and national level and has lead focus groups and task-forces in the areas of pharmacoeconomics, team building, complementary medicine, and medication therapy management.
He co-founded the university with Dr. Rosenberg and Dr. Coffman in 1999. Since then he has developed numerous programs for the university and specifically for the College of Pharmacy. Additionally, as the Vice-President he has deigned many policies and procedures for university activities. He has also taught in the business program and the nursing program. Currently he is active in university promotion, alumni activity and philanthropy.
